Obituary of Jorge E. Hurtado

Jorge E. Hurtado of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 48 years old. Jorge was born on September 17, 1973 in Englewood, NJ to the late Mery Hurtado.

Jorge was an IT Trainer employed by Bioreference Laboratories for many years. He was a longtime resident of Hopatcong and he enjoyed listening to music, boating, motorcycle riding, golfing, RVing and baseball. Jorge greatest joy was spending time with his cherished family and many friends.

Jorge is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Vanessa, his father, Manuel Rivera, his brother, Jose Ramiro Perez, his sister, Lucelia Perez, his Aunt Fanny Hurtado, his mother-in-law, Millie Borgas and his father-in-law, Ruben Borgas. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law and his cherished cats, Maxwell and Daisy.

Jorge's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Sunday, December 19th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a prayer service offered at 5:30 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of and entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home.
