Obituary of Florence White

Florence A White of Landing passed away peacefully Thursday December 16, 2021 at home.

She was 82.

Born on January 8, 1939 in Endicott NY to the late Leonard Thomas and the late Josephine (Crescente) Guarnieri.  She lived in Budd Lake and Hopatcong prior to moving to Landing.

Prior to her retirement in 1998, Florence was a cook with Dover General Hospital, Dover.

A parishioner of St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong, she enjoyed bingo, casino trips and singing in the church choir at Sunday masses and with the “Merry Minstrels” at Dover General Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Gary White. Devoted mother of Karen M. White, Florence A. Showalter (Michael), Katherine L. White, Donna L. Marks (Michael), Christine A. Buzec (David) and the late Gary Leonard White. Loving grandmother/great grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Marie Fontana (James).

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Florence’s Life Celebration on Monday December 20 from 9:30AM – 10:30AM at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong.  A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30AM

Florence will be laid to rest with her late husband, Gary, in the Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.
