Obituary of Anna G. Volpe

Anna G. Volpe of Port Morris, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Anna was born on September 15, 1931 in the Bronx, NY to the late Biagio Meola and the late Anthony and Concetta (Aurea) Alexander. Mrs. Volpe was a homemaker extraordinaire who loved taking care of her cherished family. She was a longtime member of St. Michael RC Church in Netcong, a member of the Forever Young Seniors' of Roxbury Township and an original member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Port Morris Fire Company #2. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur in 2012. Anna is survived by her devoted children, Frank Volpe and wife, Lynda, Joan Cafaro and husband, Frank, Arthur Volpe and fiancé, Roxanne and Michael Volpe. She cherished her grandchildren, Matthew Cafaro, Douglas Cafaro, Nicholas Volpe, Melissa Volpe Harrison, Andrew Volpe, Genevieve Volpe, Gabriella Volpe and Jacob Volpe and her great-grandchildren, Madison, Ace, Finnley and another great grandchild on the way. Additional survivors include her brother, Anthony Alexander, her sister-in-laws Theresa Kott and Jean Nichols and too many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends to mention. Anna was predeceased by her sister, Angelina Sparano. Anna's Life Celebration Services will include a funeral Mass on Thursday, December 30th at 11:00 am at St. Michael RC Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ. Family & friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Thursday morning. Anna will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Arthur at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ immediately following the Mass. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
