Obituary of Anthony Damelio

Anthony Damelio of Hackettstown, NJ and formerly of Netcong and Stanhope passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Hackettstown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. Anthony was born on March 26, 1941 in Dover, NJ to the late Alphonse and the late Jenny (Ross) Damelio. Anthony was a heavy equipment operator employed by Saxton Falls Sand and Gravel for many years before retiring. Mr. Damelio proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Anthony was a longtime member of the Assumption Society and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and casino trips to Mt. Airy. Anthony also was an avid sports fan who never missed a New York Yankee game and he was an excellent carpenter. Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Joann (Rampone), his sons, Michael and wife, Laura and Anthony and wife, Amy. Additional survivors include his cherished grandchildren; Alexis, Justine, AJ, Anthony, Olivia and Michael, his sister, Rose Marie McConnell, his special niece, Darlene Tedesco and too many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends to mention. Anthony's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering to be announced in March 2022. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of and entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home.
