Obituary of David W. Walters

David W. Walters of Budd Lake, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old. David was born on May 25, 1950 in Scranton, Pa. to the late William and the late Jean (Bender) Walters. David was a longtime resident of Budd Lake, NJ and previous to that, he lived in Byram, NJ. Mr. Walters was employed as a truck driver for Mt. Hope/Tilcon Trucking for many years before retiring. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. David was a member of the Moonriser's Mixed Bowling League at Circle Lanes. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and attending their sporting, musical and dance events. David also enjoyed trips to the casinos, listening to music from the 60's and 70's, and watching old westerns on TV. David is survived by his daughters, Sondra Kiss (Attila) and Christina Bream (Earl), his cherished granddaughters, Samantha and Kasondra Bream and Angylynn Kiss. Additional survivors include his brother, Daniel Walters, his sisters, Karen Nicoulin and Penny Delano and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margie (Elaine) in 2020. David's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Tuesday, January 18th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm with a Prayer Service and Military Honors offered at 6:30 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.
