Obituary of Josephine M. Gianni

Josephine M. Gianni, 76, of Hopatcong passed away on Monday February 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 7, 1945 in New York City to the late Peter and Florence (Omichinski) D'Andrea, Josephine has resided in Hopatcong for 51 years. She was a devout catholic and an active parishioner of St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong where she was a member of their Rosary Altar Society. Josephine was also a member of the Hopatcong Seniors. Josephine was devoted to her family and spent her life caring for and worrying about them.

In addition to her parents, Josephine was predeceased by her sister Barbara D'Andrea.

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Mariano, two devoted daughters, Alisa Jo Carbone and husband John and Lori Anne Robertson and husband Bobby, three adoring grandchildren Brittany Renee, Allison Elizabeth and Natalie Rose Carbone and dear brother Placido D'Andrea and wife Lorraine. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Josephine's Life Celebration will include visiting on Thursday February 10, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday February 11, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong, NJ.  Family and Friends are respectfully invited to meet directly at church for Mass. Josephine will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
