Obituary of Thomas F. Corregan
Thomas F Corregan passed away peacefully, at the age of 75, on Friday February 11, 2022 in his home surrounded by loved ones. Tom was born on August 26, 1946 in Morristown, NJ to the late Frederick Hunt Corregan and Jane (Williamson) Corregan, where he grew up with his sister Lynn and brother Bruce. As a lifelong resident of New Jersey he loved listening to The Boss and watching the New York Giants; a love he passed to his five children. He was a devoted loving father to Thomas F Corregan Jr., Christie Corregan Weiss, Sarah Corregan, Rachel Corregan and Rebecca Corregan and a wonderful grandfather to Jack & Gabe Weiss and Faith Corregan-Ditman. He also loved going to the beach, especially Daytona, FL during bike week. He enjoyed riding his Harley and Indian and spending time with friends. However, you could always find him in all his glory and at his happiest when he was at work. Tom owned and operated Tom Corregan Contractors, a business that renovated and constructed many beautiful homes across the state. His talent and vision can be seen in many communities, but you will find it mostly in Lake Hopatcong, NJ where he lived for the last 20 years, working to improve the community one house at a time. He found such joy in renovating and building his "Tom Corregan Originals" around the lake.
Tom was also a Vietnam War Veteran who proudly served his country in the US Army from 1967-1968 as a part of E Company 20th Infantry Airborne-Long Range Patrol.
Tom was hard working, honest, and kind. He thought himself to be everyone's therapist and would always lend you his ear. He overcame many hardships in his life resulting in an understanding of heart that he shared with the ones he loved. His devotion to God and his faith were unwavering until the end. He will be missed every day by all those he left behind.
His family and friends will be gathering on Sunday, March 27th 2022 at the Morristown Green, 10 N. Park Place, Morristown, NJ 07960 starting at 10am for a Memorial Service where we can celebrate his life and share memories. At 11am he will receive Military honors followed by a police escorted motorcycle run from the Morristown Green to Pavinci's in Hopatcong, led by his Harley and followed by all those that loved him. The family is extending the invitation for everyone to join them for a luncheon at Pavinci's to continue Thomas's Life Celebration.
