Obituary of Loretta C. Scheer

Loretta Catherine Scheer, 61, of Budd Lake, NJ passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center.

Born on March 24, 1960 in Bronx, NY to the late Francis and the late Veronica (Doliglaski) Duffy, she lived in Netcong, NJ prior to moving to Budd Lake 32 years ago.

A homemaker, Loretta enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends, arts and crafts, thrifting, getting manicures and pedicures, coffee (Dunkin and Starbucks), gardening, decorating and her favorite holiday, Christmas.

Beloved wife of Joseph Scheer. Devoted mother of Ramona Johnson and her husband Roger, Kimberly Hunt, Katelyn Gregory and her husband Matthew and Elizabeth Howatson and her husband Jonathan. Loving grandmother of Joseph Willis, Kyle Willis, Joshua Flores, Tyler Johnson and Angelo Hunt. Dear sister of Maryann Ubinas and her late husband Tony, the late Peter Duffy and his wife Barbara, Christine Ryan and her husband Thomas, the late Steven Duffy, Dennis Smarth and his wife Susan and George Smarth. She was also the beloved auntie, adored cousin and treasured friend and colleague to so many.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Loretta's Life Celebration on Friday February 25 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday February 26 at 10:00AM at St. Jude Thaddeus RC Church, 17 Mt. Olive Road, Budd Lake, NJ.

Immediately following Mass, Loretta will be laid to rest at the Stanhope Union Cemetery, Mt. Olive Township.
