Obituary of Irene M. Inglis

Irene M. Inglis, 77, of the Budd Lake section of Mt. Olive Township passed away on Saturday March 26, 2022 at the VNA Hospice at St. Clare’s, Dover Campus.

Born on March 24, 1945 in Stanhope, NJ, to the late Charles and Dorothy (Dundus) McConnell, Irene resided in Hopatcong prior to moving to Budd Lake in 2007.  She was a School Bus Driver for Berkshire Transportation in Sparta, NJ.  

Irene enjoyed Bingo and word search puzzles, playing video games including Nintendo, reading, especially romance novels and watching various movies.

She was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 2005 along with five brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her four children Kevin Inglis and wife Lara, Scott Inglis, Debbie Wieder and Michelle Rickels, five grandchildren Kera, Robert & Dan Volk, Sylvia & Jackson Rickels and a great grandson Robert Volk.

Irene’s Life Celebration will include visiting on Wednesday March 30, 2022 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.  Irene will be laid to rest at the Succasunna United Methodist Cemetery, 91 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
