Obituary of Josephine O'Shea

Josephine O'Shea, age 101, passed away on Palm Sunday April 10, 2022 at Merry Heart Care Center in Succasunna, NJ.

Born in Adams, MA on December 8, 1920 to the late Andrew and Maryann Penczar, Josephine resided in Ridge, Long Island, NY prior to moving to Budd Lake in 2013. She was a Lieutenant Nurse Navy Veteran and worked at Terrace Heights Hospital in Hollis, NY prior to her retirement.

Josephine's greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1960 and her son James in 2020.

Survivors include two sons Michael and his wife Eileen and Robert, three grandchildren Kerry & John, Michael and his wife Nichole and Patrick and three great grandchildren Michael, Connor and Ryan.

Josephine's Life Celebration will include visiting on Wednesday April 13, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Catholic blessing will be offered on Thursday April 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Josephine will be laid to rest at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY.
