Obituary of Walter J. Mosnick

Walter J. Mosnick, 79, of Hopatcong passed away peacefully on Saturday April 16, 2022 at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon Township.

Born on February 12, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Walter and Clara (Wild) Mosnick, Walter was a longtime resident of Hopatcong. He served proudly in the Air National Guard. He was a Systems Analyst at Con Edison in New York City prior to his retirement in 2000. Walter enjoyed reading, bowling, fishing with his son, Jimmy and trips to the casinos with his late wife, Chickie.

In addition to his wife, Chickie who passed in 2020, Walter was predeceased by his brother in law Tom and dog, Shane.

Survivors include his two children, Terry Mosnick and James Mosnick (Jeri), three sisters Carol (Kenny), Theresa and Kathy (Joe), many cousins, nieces and nephews and sisters in law Ginia (Ken) and Jeanne (Tom).

Walter's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering to be announced by the family in the near future. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Walter's memory to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
