Obituary of Renee Lucille Castellanos

Renee Lucille Castellanos of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2022 at home. She was 83 years old. Renee was born on October 27, 1938 in New York City to the late Edmund and the late Lucille (Dupont) Budich. She graduated Blessed Sacrament High School and received a RN degree from St. Clare's Nursing School. 

Renee was a registered nurse and worked for several New York City medical facilities. She enjoyed bird watching, traveling and was a docent at Van Saun County Park in Paramus for many years. She also donated time at the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge in Oakland.

After marriage, Renee and her husband Edward moved to Dumont and raised 3 children, Paul, Joan, and James. After retirement, Renee and Ed moved to Mt. Arlington.

Renee is survived by her devoted sons, Paul Castellanos and James Castellanos, her cherished grandchildren, Michael and Anthony and brother Robert Budich and his wife Ann Marie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Edward in 2012 and her beloved daughter, Joan Pressler.

Renee's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Service on Thursday, June 2 from 4pm to 8pm with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:30pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass will also be offered on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Mt. Arlington. All are welcome to meet at church for services.
