Obituary of Veronica A. White

Veronica A. White of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon Twp., NJ surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Veronica was born on September 27, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Robert and the late Rose Ann (Amato) Hughes.

Mrs. White was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake RC Church in Mt. Arlington. She resided in Hopatcong, NJ prior to moving to Mt. Arlington 22 years ago. Veronica was a real estate agent employed by the Prudential Goodman Butler Real Estate Office in Landing for many years before retiring. She enjoyed collecting Llardro figurines and traveling with family and friends but was most importantly, Veronica cherished spending time with her loving and devoted family.

Veronica is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Arthur J. White, Jr., her son, Arthur J. White III of Port Charlotte, Florida, her daughters, Mary Elizabeth White of Mt. Arlington, NJ and Melissa Ann Bushell of Colchester, Vermont, her cherished grandchildren; Jennifer, Andrew, Jacqueline, Jessica, Timothy, Corey, Alexander and Marina and 6 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Veronica was pre-deceased by her brothers, David Hughes and Phillip Hughes.

Veronica's Life Celebration will include visitation on Monday, June 6th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Catholic Prayer Service offered on Tuesday morning, June 7th at 10:00 am also at the funeral home. Veronica will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover, NJ immediately following the prayer service.
