Obituary of Judith Lyn Kristof

Judith Lyn Kristof (Tanchak), 70, of the Landing section of Roxbury Township, passed away on Friday July 22, 2022 at VNA Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover Campus.

Born on April 9, 1952 in Newark, NJ to the late Gabriel and Edna (Blake) Tanchak, Judy has resided in Landing since 1989. Judy was proud to work at the US Postal Service, where she had a successful career spanning over 25 years. In retirement, she studied to obtain her CDL license and was a school bus driver.

Judy was an passionate animal lover and advocate, having rescued dogs her entire life. She loved going to the zoo, Westminster Dog Show, and taking road trips with her partner Lance. She also enjoyed oldies music, going to the beach, antiqueing and laughing and reminiscing with her friends and family.

Survivors include daughters Christina and Mishel Castro, beloved partner Lance Lassen, her latest rescue Abbey, as well as, brothers Ronald and Dennis Tanchak.

Judy's Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Sunday July 31, 2022 from 11:00 am – 3:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. A prayer service will be offered Sunday afternoon at 2:30 PM at the funeral home.
