Obituary of Jane VonDerHeide

Jane VonDerHeide of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Merry Heart Care Center in Succasunna, NJ surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Jane was born on May 27, 1932 in Dover, NJ.

Jane was a 1951 graduate of Roxbury High School and a longtime resident of Hopatcong. Mrs. VonDerHeide was employed as the treasurer for the Borough of Hopatcong where she worked for many years before retiring. She enjoyed working out at the Randolph YMCA and traveling. Jane's greatest joy was spending time with her cherished and devoted family and friends.

Jane is survived by her devoted sons, William VonDerHeide (Dianne), Barry VonDerHeide and Ken VonDerHeide (Cathy). Additional survivors include her grandchildren; Kenneth, Rebecca, Eric, William and Glenn and 8 great-grandchildren. Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband, William in 1992, her daughter-in-law, Terry VonDerHeide in 2011and her siblings, Evelyn Abrams and Donald Abrams.

Jane's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday, July 28th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. There will be a prayer service offered on Friday morning July 29th at 11:00 am also at the funeral home. Jane will be laid to rest with her husband at the Succasunna United Methodist Cemetery immediately following the prayer service.
