Obituary of Albert W. Tallaksen

Albert W. "Bert" Tallaksen of Hopatcong passed away Saturday December 29, 2012 at home. He was 76. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Ridgefield Park before moving to Hopatcong 40 years ago. Bert, as he was fondly known, was an army veteran, a past member of the Ridgefield Park ambulance squad and an active member of the United Methodist Church in Hopatcong. There he enjoyed being an active part in the churches men's club and choir Prior to retiring from the Rockaway Township Board of Education as Head Custodian, he was the proud owner of Tally's Maintenance. Beloved husband for fifty years of Cecile (nee: Grant). Devoted father of Theresa Edwards and her husband William, Nancy Bailey, Robert Tallaksen and his wife Dawn, Eric Tallaksen and his wife Stacey and the late Michael Tallaksen. Loving grandfather of 7 grandchildren. Dear brother of Robert, Alice Fusco, Thomas Tallaksen and the late Ray Tallaksen.
