Obituary of Edgar S. Bixby, Jr.

Edgar S. Bixby, Jr. of Roxbury Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at St. Clare's Hospital Dover Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was 67 years old. Edgar was born on December 3, 1954 in Dover, NJ to Margaret (Dulio) and the late Edgar S. Bixby.

Edgar grew up in Netcong before moving to Roxbury Twp. in 1989. Mr. Bixby was employed by Local 711 Laborers Union Building and Trade Local 593 for many years. He loved motorcycles, dirt bikes, racing and working on cars but most importantly, Edgar enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Edgar is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joanne (nee Robson), his daughter, Jaime Linn Bixby and her fiancé, Raphael Szczepaniak, his son, Edgar S. Bixby, IV., his mother, Margaret Bixby, his brothers, Keith Bixby and his wife, Leslie Bixby and James Thompson and his wife, Cyndi. Additional survivors include his cherished grandchildren, Armando James Alameda and Bentley Wyatt Szczepaniak, his aunt, Patricia Higgins (Bixby), his dear friends Jack MaCauley and Tina Reilly and many aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters/brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father, Edgar S. Bixby.

Edgar's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday, August 17th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a "Words of Remembrance Service" offered at 7:30 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.
