Obituary of Margaret Pellegrino

Margaret Pellegrino of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old. Margaret was born on October 17, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Vincenzo and the late Jennie (Ferrante) Pastore.

Margaret was a longtime resident of Hopatcong, NJ. In her early years, Mrs. Pellegrino worked on Wall Street before becoming a devoted homemaker. Margaret's greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family especially her cherished granddaughter, Maria - to her "family was everything". Margaret enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes, trips with her family, shopping, crossword puzzles, watching HGTV and driving her convertible.

Margaret is survived by her devoted family- her son, Patrick, his wife, Robyn and their daughter, Maria, and by her brothers, Anthony Pastore and Frank Pastore and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Anthony on August 8, 2022.

Margaret's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Saturday, October 29th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Sunday, October 30th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass offered on Monday morning, October 31st at 10:00 am at St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong. Margaret will be laid to rest with her husband, Anthony at Union Cemetery in Hackettstown, NJ.
