Obituary of William C. Edwards

William C. Edwards, Jr., of Byram Township, known to many as "Billy" passed away on Tuesday July 1, at his home. He was 18. Born on April 13, 1996 in Newton to William C., Sr. and Theresa Tallaksen, he resided there prior to moving to Byram Township at the age of eight. Billy graduated from Shepard Academy in Morristown in June of this year. He loved snowboarding, skateboarding, wake boarding, hiking, trips to the beach and traveling with his family, especially to Disney World. Loving son of William C., Sr. and Theresa (Tallaksen), dear brother of Sarah and Samantha Edwards and cherished grandson of Cecile Tallaksen and the late Albert Tallaksen and Margaret Edwards and the late Jack Edwards. Also surviving are many cousins, aunts and uncles. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Billy's Life Celebration on Monday July 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A funeral prayer service will be offered on Tuesday July 8 beginning at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Friends and family may begin gathering on Tuesday morning at 9:30 am prior to services. Billy will be laid to rest in Stanhope Union Cemetery, Mt. Olive Township. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at www.jdrf.org.
