Obituary of Herma Beata Geibel

Herma Beata Geibel of Stanhope passed away Friday October 28, 2022 at Hackettstown Medical Center.

She was 81.

Born in Bad Kissingen Germany on November 25, 1940 to the late Kaspar Emmert and the late Anna (Wettering) Emmert, she came to the United States in 1965. She lived in Stillwater and Andover before moving to Stanhope 13 years ago.

Prior to her retirement, Herma was a housekeeper, plus so much more, for Westby Farms in Andover

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and baking, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She would spend hours preparing delicious meals and scrumptious desserts. She spent her springs picking fresh fruit and making her homemade jellies. In November, she would begin her meticulous process of baking 20 plus different varieties of cookies. Plenty to share  with everyone she knew.

Devoted mother of Carmen Merolle (Arty) and Steven Geibel (Chris). Loving grandmother Jordan, Collin (Emily), Devin, Kayleigh, Amanda and Megan. Dear sister of Horst Emmert (Francoise) and the late Karlheinz Emmert (the late Karin), and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Herma’s Life Celebration on Saturday November 5 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM in the funeral home. A Prayer Service will begin at 4:30PM.
