Obituary of Frederick K. Griswold

Frederick K. Griswold, 70, of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on October 28, 2022 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover Campus.

Born in Newark, NJ on June 21, 1952 to the late William and Viola (Bunk) Griswold, Frederick resided in Kearny prior to moving to Hopatcong five years ago. He worked as a United States Postal Worker in the Bulk Mail Division in Jersey City, NJ for 40 years.

Frederick was a very passionate Civil War "buff", a NY Yankees fan and an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America Troop #40.

In addition to his parents, Frederick was predeceased by his siblings Joan Garland, Robert Griswold and William Griswold and a nephew Robert Griswold.

Survivors include nieces and nephews Mary Beth Deak (Jeff), Dennis Garland, John Garland, Brian Garland (late wife Donna), Michael Garland, Sandy Harding (James), Chris Griswold (Joanne) and Donna Gonzales (Luis). Also surviving are grandnieces and grandnephews.

Frederick's Life Celebration will include visiting on Thursday November 3, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered on Friday November 4, 2022 beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Frederick will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.
