Obituary of Gene Ralph Wilson

Gene Ralph Wilson of Ridgewood passed away on Monday, November, 7, 2022 at VNA Hospice, Dover. He was 76. Born in Paterson on September 18, 1946 to the late Dr. Ralph and the late Marion (Cohen) Wilson, he was a lifelong resident of Ridgewood. Gene worked and was a union shop steward for Gimbels department store in Paramus. He also was the owner of Gene's Snack Bar in the Hackensack Court House prior to his retirement. A huge Yankees and Jets fan, he also enjoyed the Rangers Hockey Team, swimming, fishing and boating on Lake Hopatcong. Dear sister of Anne Tappen (Glenn). Cherished Uncle of Jennifer Baker (Kale) and Christopher Tappen (Christine). Loving great Uncle of Isabel Baker, Sadie Baker, Hailey Tappen and Michelle Tappen. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Gene's Life Celebration on Sunday November 13 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM in the funeral home. A Prayer Service will begin at 3:30PM A Graveside Committal Service will be held on Monday, November 14, at 11:00AM in the Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. All are invited to meet directly at the cemetery.
