Obituary of John Walter Podgurski

John Walter Podgurski, 80, of the Landing section of Roxbury Township passed away on Thursday December 29, 2022 at VNA Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover Campus.

Born on January 11, 1942 in Manhattan, NY to the late John and Mary (Shemanski) Podgurski, John was a Project Manager for Panurgy Logistics in Rockaway, NJ. He has resided in Landing since 1955.

John was a beloved coach with the Roxbury Little League for 25 years. He also was an umpire for the NJ State Little League, District #1. John also enjoyed deep sea fishing, swimming with his grandchildren, playing golf, basketball and was a "die hard" Dallas Cowboys fan.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen, three sons John and wife Kelly, Edward and wife Jackie and Scott and wife Stephanie, six grandchildren Jessica, Jason, Charmaine, Elyse, Jarred and Richard, two brothers Michael and Joseph and two sisters Carol West and Mary Beal.

John's Life Celebration will include visiting on Monday January 2, 2023 from 1:00-5:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. The remainder of services will be private. For memorial donations, please consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
