Obituary of David L. Shann, Sr.

David L Shann, Sr. of Lower Nazareth, PA, (formerly of Hopatcong) passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St Luke's Hospital-Anderson Campus, Easton PA.

He was 72.

Born in Dover to the late Louis Lewellyn Shann II and the late Reba Mae (Jennings) Shann on October 3,1950, he lived in Hopatcong prior to moving to Lower Nazareth.

Prior to his retirement, David was an assistant manager with Circle Lanes in Ledgewood.

A funny, kind and generous man, he was dedicated to his family and the community in which he lived, David was a sports enthusiast being a big fan of all New York teams including the Yankees, Giants and Rangers. His favorite past times included racquet ball, soft ball, bowling, going for walks around Horseshoe Lake, playing with his dogs, calling family and friends on the phone, listening to music and watching Jerry Springer. He also enjoyed Sunday drives.

Devoted father of Tricia Lynn Fritz (Joseph) and David Lawrence Shann, Jr. Loving grandfather of Kendra, Zoe, Talia and Brayden. Dear brother of Robert Shann (Anna), Delmar Shann (Sharon) and Louella Post (Richard) and the late Darlene Alvarez, Emily Shann, and Louis Lewellyn Shann III. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.Dear companion of Cheryl Fano and the late Judee Hefele.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend David's Life Celebration on Saturday, January 14 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the funeral home. A Prayer Service will begin at 11:00AM.
