Obituary of Ann Caffrey

Ann Caffrey formally of Landing, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  She was 77 years old.  Ann was born on January 29, 1945 in Dublin, Ireland to the late Thomas and the late Helen (Johnson) Nevin

Ann was a long-time resident of Landing, NJ and an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake RC Church.  She owned and operated Eire’s Irish Gifts in the Ledgewood Mall for many years.  Ann enjoyed gardening, traveling and watching Hallmark movies but most importantly, she cherished her time spent with family and friends.

Ann is survived by her devoted children, Connolly Caffrey and his wife Tammy and Eire Jekonski and her husband, John and her cherished grandchildren; Roark, Juliana and Jack.   Additional survivors include her siblings, Lena Kelly and Rita Carroll.  She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, John Francis Caffrey in 2011,  her son, Padraic Pearse Caffrey in 2003 and her siblings; Thomas Nevin, William Nevin, Arthur Nevin, Anthony Nevin, Mary Nevin and Patricia Phillips.

Ann’s Life Celebration will include a visitation on Tuesday, January 31^st from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.  There will be a funeral Mass offered also on Tuesday, January 31^st at 11:00 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ.  Ann will be laid to rest with her husband and son at First Presbyterian Cemetery in Succasunna, NJ.
