Obituary of Walter Edward Ingman Jr.

Walter Edward Ingman, Jr., 67, of Stanhope, NJ, passed away on Saturday February 18, 2023 at his home.

Born in Jersey City, NJ on August 8, 1955 to the late Walter, Sr. and Lucy (Gargiulo) Ingman, he moved to Stanhope over 30 years ago. Walter earned a Bachelor's Degree from William Paterson University and was retired from his position as an Operations Manager for Waste Management in Kearny after 30+ years of faithful employment.

In high school, Walter participated in cross country, track and baseball. He was also a boating enthusiast and enjoyed cycling and traveling. Walter was a technology "guru", a food truck "foodie", a devoted Dallas Cowboys and NY Mets fan and was the recipient of the "ABC- 11 in a Row" bowling award. He was an active volunteer for Pet Adoption League (PAL) and supporter of United War Vets Council.

Survivors include his significant other, Kim Cowing, spouse (separated) Diane Ingman, children Melissa Palma (Julio), Walter A. Ingman (Gabriela) and Megan Sciara (Peter), grandchildren Janissa Palma, Jayden Palma and Walter X. Ingman with "Baby" Sciara and "Baby" Ingman on the way, brother Richard E. Ingman (Patricia), nieces and nephews Ryan Ingman, Alison Petraglia (Vincent), Cherise Boutin, Dillan Boutin (Sharmani), grandniece and grandnephew Cecilia and Angelo Petraglia.

Walter's Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Saturday February 25, 2023 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered at 4:15PM at the funeral home. For memorial donations, please consider United War Vets Council or Pet Adoption League.
