Obituary of Barbara M. Peltz

Barbara M. Peltz of Mine Hill, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, February, 24, 2023 at St. Clare's Hospital Dover Campus surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old. Barbara was born on February 2, 1934 in Newark, NJ to the late Samuel and the late Jeannette Naroden.

Barbara was a Special Police Officer employed by the Parsippany Police Department for 25 years. She enjoyed playing the slot machines and was "quite lucky" at the Atlantic City and Mt. Airy casinos. Barbara loved spending time with her cherished family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. She was a founding member of the "Mix & Mingle" Support Group for widows and widowers which was affiliated with St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. Barbara was an active and life member of Deborah Hospital and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and a member of the Mine Hill Seniors.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Karen McGowan (Robert), her sons, Mark Peltz (Sharon) and Eric Peltz (Diane). Additional survivors include her significant other, Joseph Lonergan, her daughter-in-law, Donna Peltz, her cherished grandchildren; Kimberly (Michael), Shane (Chelsea), Krystal (Dee), Shawn, Jessica, Nikki, Brandon, Matthew, Kaitlyn and Breanna and her great-grandchildren; Noah, Brooks, Joel, Chase, Jaxton and Aubrey. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Eugene in 1988 and her son, Steven in 2013.

Barbara's Life Celebration Services will include a Private Graveside Service at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, NJ
