Obituary of Lorelle Ann Gregor

Lorelle (Musselman) Gregor, 76, of Byram Township, formerly of Hopatcong, passed away peacefully on Monday March 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Altoona, PA on December 10, 1946 to the late Robert and Beatrice (Neugebauer) Musselman, she graduated from Altoona High School in 1964. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from Lock Haven State College in Pennsylvania in 1968 and began her career as a certified elementary school teacher for the Toms River, NJ school district before settling in Hopatcong to start a family. While raising her 3 daughters full-time, she taught computers to preschoolers and was a private tutor specializing in learning disabilities, instilling confidence and a love of learning in her students. Her greatest joy in retirement was caring for her family, particularly her grandchildren, and was a fixture at their school programs and sporting events, known to all as "Grammie."

Lorelle had a creative eye and a green thumb, was renowned for her garden and landscaping, and enjoyed decorating, crafting, and trips to the shore. She exuded an approachable and nurturing nature so that even a stranger in the grocery store checkout line would share their life story with her before reaching the parking lot. She maintained a personal motto of 'make everybody feel like a somebody' and touched so many lives with her bright light, quiet strength, compassion, wit, and selflessness.

Lorelle is survived by her devoted husband Bill, three loving daughters, Laura Hawkins and her husband Mike, Sarah Gregor, and Beth Schulaka and her husband Nickon, and four cherished grandchildren, Ella, Rebecca, Olive, and Nicky. She is also survived by her brother, Rob Musselman and his wife Wendy, her sister, Kim Sager and her husband Dane, her niece Rachael Ozereko and family, and an adored network of additional family and friends.

Lorelle's cremation was conducted privately and entrusted to Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. Per her wishes, her family is planning a celebration of her life in the Spring.
