Obituary of Catherine M. Forik

Catherine M. Forik, of Lake Hopatcong, passed away on Tuesday December 4 at Morristown Memorial Medical Center. She was 84 years old. Born in Morris Township on April 29, 1928 to the late John and Julia Brockman, she has resided in the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson Township for over 50 years. Catherine was known for her pleasant, motherly demeanor. Often heard asking others "..you alright?" or "…need anything?". Always polite; "please", "thank you" and "I'm sorry" were part of her everyday vocabulary. Catherine loved animals, hiking and yard work and was an extremely social person. She was a former nurses aide at Dover General Hospital. Devoted wife of the late Stanley (1999), beloved mother of Linda Monik and significant other Richard Lindstedt, Gordon Forik, Stanley Forik and wife, Mary Kay, Kathleen Johnson and husband Curtis and Michael Forik, dear mother in law of Rene' and adoring grandmother of Ashley and Amy Johnson and Larissa, Justin, Dylon and Kassidy Forik. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Catherine's Life Celebration on Saturday December 8 from 6-8 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
