Obituary of Margaret E. Lamanna

Margaret E. Lamanna, 101, of Netcong, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 29, 2023 at Merry Heart Care Center in Succasunna, NJ.

Born on December 30, 1921 to the late Dominick and Nancy (Verdi) Togno and raised in Netcong, Margaret was the longest tenured resident of the town at the time of her death.

Margaret was a riveter for Dover Handbag in Netcong for 45 years before retiring.  Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her husband and son.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Genaro in 2002 and also by five sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include her son John Lamanna of New York City and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Margaret’s Life Celebration will include visiting on Tuesday May 2, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.  A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday May 3, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Church, Netcong, NJ.  Margaret will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt.
