Obituary of Angelina Eichner

Angelina Eichner, 101, of Hopatcong passed away peacefully at her home on Friday May 26, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New York City on April 15, 1922 to the late Francesco and Ann (Sinisi) Proscia, Angelina resided in New York City and the Bronx prior to moving to Hopatcong in 1970.  She worked in the plumbing department of Rickel Home Center retiring in 1985.  She then was an Administrative Assistant for Walter Skorski, CPA from 1994-2000 and finally a Sales Associate at the Dress Barn from 2000-2010. 

Angelina enjoyed painting around her house, vacations, playing cards, sewing, drinking coffee and reading.  She was well-known for telling dirty jokes to make people laugh.  Angelina’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband Gustav in 1999, daughter Cheryl in 1982 and brothers Joseph, William, Michael and Frank.

Survivors include three children Rosanne Skorski, Donna Eichner, Michael Eichner and wife Stacy, grandchildren Kimberly & William Kilcher; Carey Skorski; Cliff & Judy Morales; Daryl & Elizabeth Lovingood; Nicole & Todd Spain; and Sara and Daniel Houck, great grandchildren Kristen & Dave; Erika & Michael; Robert & Krissy, Michael, Mikayla & Jeffrey; Haily, Brody, Preston, Haakon, Trevor, Skylar, Caine, Lila & Noah, great great grandchildren Weston, Remi, Aria, Asher, Jaxson & Jace and siblings Andrew, Grace, Mario & Anna.

Angelina’s Life Celebration will include visiting on Thursday June 1 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.  A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday June 2, 2023 beginning at 10:30 AM at St. Jude RC Church, Hopatcong, NJ.  Angelina will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township following Mass.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
