Obituary of Carolyn J. Sacco

Carolyn J. Sacco of Milford, Delaware (formerly of Hopatcong) passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Bayhealth Hospital in Milford, Delaware surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years old. Carolyn was born on September 9, 1936 in Weehawken, NJ to the late Raymond and the late Evelyn (Schieli) O'Brien.

Carolyn was a hairdresser employed by JC Penny Beauty Salon in Rockaway for many years before retiring. Mrs. Sacco resided in Hopatcong for 66 years before moving to Milford, Delaware 8 years ago. She enjoyed traveling to Egypt, Poland, Ireland and Italy. Carolyn loved spending time with her devoted family, especially the good times on Lake Hopatcong.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph, her sons, Michael Weber, Jeffrey Weber, Timothy Weber, Joseph Sacco Jr. and her daughters, Lauren Maloney, Kathleen Weber and Sandra Carey. Additional survivors include her daughter-in-law, Christine Weber, 10 cherished grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving sister Janice Chaplin and life-long friend Barbara Jones. 

Carolyn's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Friday, July 7th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. There will be a Catholic Prayer Service offered on Saturday morning, July 8th at 9:30 am also at the Funeral Home. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery, 99 Main Street in Succasunna, NJ. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of and entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home. For memorial donations, please consider The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org)
