Obituary of JoAnne Caruso

JoAnne Caruso, 76, of the Budd Lake section of Mt. Olive Township passed away peacefully at home on Saturday July 8, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Moss Point, MS on January 30, 1947 to the late Joseph and Ethel Mae (Woodcock) Canfield, JoAnne resided in Newark, NJ prior to moving to Mt. Olive Township 45 years ago.  She was retired from her position as a Social Worker at the Essex County Welfare Board in Newark.

JoAnne excelled in various aspects of artistry including drawing and painting.  She was an excellent cook and an even better baker.  Additionally, she was well known for her beautiful gardens wherein she enjoyed watching various birds & butterflies. Most importantly, JoAnne loved spending time with her family

Survivors include her husband Edward, son Joseph and his spouse Jamie, daughter Casey and her fiancé Christopher and two brothers Bobby and Richard Canfield.
