Obituary of William Edward Brennan

William Edward Brennan of Hopatcong passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown.

He was 78.

Born on May 23, 1945 in Irvington to the late James and the late Mae (Smedley) Brennan, he has lived in Hopatcong since 1972.

Prior to his retirement, Bill was an iron worker and owner of Hopatcong Fence Company.

A Navy veteran, he enjoyed oldies music (doo wop), civil war history,
classic movies and trips with his family at the Jersey Shore.

Beloved husband of Diane (Nash) Brennan. Devoted father of Billy (Kathy), Michael (Kathy), Jimmy (Jennifer) and John (Denise). Loving grandfather/great grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Carol and Mary Brennan, the late James Brennan, the late Isabelle Phillips and the late June Greene.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bill’s Life Celebration on Monday, July 24, from 2:PM to 4:PM and 6:PM to 8:PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, July 25 at 10:30AM at St. Jude RC Church, Hopatcong.

Following mass, Bill will be laid to rest in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
