Obituary of Gail Tardive

Gail Tardive, 75, of Netcong, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Dover, NJ on April 4, 1948 to the late Vincent and Paula (Romano) Tardive, Gail grew up in Succasunna, NJ prior to moving to Netcong over 30 years ago.  She was a graduate of Roxbury High School Class of 1966 and attended East Stroudsburg University. She worked as a Supervisor for Bell Core of Parsippany for 30 years prior to her retirement. Gail received their Telephone Pioneer of the Year Award for ten years straight. She was also the recipient of the Special Olympics Volunteer Award five years consecutive. Gail was a devoted parishioner of St. Michael Church in Netcong and a valuable organizer of their Food Pantry. Gail also enjoyed going to casinos, doing crossword and other puzzles and attending concerts and shows. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and lifelong friends.

In addition to her parents, Gail was predeceased by her sister Veronica Marks, sister-in-law Valerie Tardive, two brothers-in-law Wayne Fry and Toby Taylor, a niece Robin Carlson and two nephews Paul D'Olivo and Bruce Carlson.

Survivors include a brother Jerry Tardive, four sisters Roseann Lehmann (Scott), Jill Fry, Linda Best (Bob) and Jeanette Taylor, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Gail's Life Celebration will include visiting on Sunday August 13 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday August 14 beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Michael Church, Netcong. Interment will follow at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
