Obituary of Keith "Lee" O'Malley

Keith "Lee" O'Malley of Lake Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 83 years old. Lee was born on October 28, 1939 in Orange, NJ to the late John A. and the late Margaret Jenkin O'Malley. Lee was a long-time resident of Lake Hopatcong; NJ and he was employed as a parts manager for various local car dealerships. Growing up, he loved dancing with his beloved sister Patricia. Lee loved camping with his devoted family and watching NASCAR while drinking a "few beers". Mr. O'Malley also enjoyed cooking on his Blackstone grill and smoking delicious meats but most importantly, Lee loved spending time with his cherished family and friends. Lee is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Patricia (nee Smith), his son, Lee O'Malley (Kristin), his daughter, Colleen Rettas (George) and his cherished grandchildren; Ashleigh, Jessica, Tommy, Gianna and Loukas. Additional survivors include his brothers; Michael O'Malley, Kevin O'Malley and Shawn O'Malley and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Condon in 2007. Lee's Life Celebration will include a Visitation on Thursday, August 17th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an 7:30 pm Catholic Prayer Service offered at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
