Obituary of Harry K. Mandal

Harry K. Mandal of Stockholm, NJ passed away peacefully at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was 84 years old. Harry was born on January 24, 1939 in Fresno, CA to the late Tulsi and the late Elenora (nee Koch ) Mandal.

Mr. Mandal attended Elementary and High School in Caruthers, CA. He then attended 4C's College in Fresno, CA majoring in accounting. Harry was drafted and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an accountant employed by several local firms for many years before retiring. Mr. Mandal was formerly a resident of Hopatcong, NJ before moving to Stockholm, NJ 21 years ago. He enjoyed life and making jokes but most importantly, Harry cherished his time with his loving family and friends.

Harry is survived by his devoted son, Paul Mandal and his wife Rachel, his sister, Henrietta Kelzer and his sisters-in-law, Gail Mandal and Barbara Mandal. Additional survivors include his dear friends, Mark and Ewa Pokora and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Pauline in 2015, his brothers Robert and Henry Mandal and his in-laws Benjamin and Riva Gurfinkel.

Harry's Life Celebration will include a Memorial Gathering on Monday, August 28th from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a 2:30 pm Prayer Service offered at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. It is the request of Harry's family that all in attendance on Monday join them at a repast gathering which will be announced at the conclusion of the service.  All funeral arrangements are under the direction of and entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.
