I am so sad to read about the loss of Ben. I moved in next to Ben and Nanci may years ago when my kids were small. Ben and Nanci were ALWAYS so kind to my kids, especially when Mikey would obsess over their dog. Ben kept a watchful eye out on us, made sure we had what we needed and even took on the landlord for me once or twice! I am forever grateful for the support. I will miss seeing you driving your big red truck around town and wondering if it was you who won whenever the 3 in 1 sold a winner! Rest in the sweetest of peace Ben. My condolences and prayers to Nanci and the rest of Bens family.

I’m so sad to hear this! I just found out last night. I would’ve been there to say our farewells if I had known sooner. “Benny”, I never called you Ben, you were one of the first people I met when I moved to Hopatcong 33 years ago. Truly a blessing to our family! You’ve help us countless times with our home to the most recent updates of siding and windows and a beautiful deck in our backyard. Weekly catch ups before my morning buses sharing a cup of coffee at QC. You have been a huge part of my life, a true friend, always inquiring about our kids, especially Jacqui. Then talking about your family, your wife, daughter and grandson and pup! You were definitely a very special, loving and kind soul, always willing to help others. One of a kind!!!
I’ve enjoyed all the memories we’ve shared.
We were just texting about getting coffee soon and I was looking forward to that day. Thank you Benny for everything you’ve done for us and the countless others in our town! Everyone knew Benny and his love for his “shiny” truck!!! You will be greatly missed my friend, til we meet again, RIP <3

Just now hearing the news. Ben was truly an Hopatcong "Man about Town". He greeted everyone with a smile and always made himself available to help someone when needed. Not to be duplicated, he was one of a kind.

Words cannot express how I'm feeling right now. I literally was just talking with him a day or two before that. Benny was a great guy. Despite his health problems Benny would always find a way to make you laugh. I am going ro miss seeing him sitting there rubbing his scratch offs.. and me yelling to him hey did you win today. And him turning towards me smiling and /laughing saying yeah right. To his family. Andnfriends my thoughts and prayers.
