Obituary of Robert Shermister

Robert Shermister, 82, of the Succasunna section of Roxbury Township passed away peacefully on Saturday September 30, 2023 with his devoted family by his side.

Born in New York City on June 19, 1941 to the late Edward and Cele Shermister, Robert resided in Hopatcong for 15 years prior to moving to Succasunna 35 years ago. He worked in sales for many companies in the New York metropolitan area prior to retirement. He served proudly in the United States Air Force National Guard.

Robert was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline in 2018 and daughter Lauren Shields in 2022.

Survivors include his son; Kenneth and wife Stephanie, son-in-law Michael Shields, Robert's canine companion; Lulu, as well as, many extended family and close friends.
