Obituary of Paul C. Grogan

Paul C. Grogan, 93, of Netcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday October 15, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family.

Born in Netcong, NJ on June 11, 1930 to the late Fred and Grace (Cummings) Grogan he was a lifelong resident. Paul served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1949-1952. He worked for Kelly Beverages in Stanhope, NJ and later for the Morris County Road Department until his retirement in 1991.

Paul was a valued and active member of the Netcong Community for many years. A volunteer member of the Netcong Fire Co #1, he served as Chief from 1971-1972. Paul served on the Netcong Town Council from 1991-1997 and the Netcong Board of Education for three years. He was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Netcong.

Paul was predeceased by his wife; Thomasina in 2015 and his grandson; Andrew Weaver in 1996. Paul was also predeceased by his siblings Bernard Grogan, Mary Virginia (Sis) Kunkel and Fritz Grogan.

Survivors include his children; Sandy Grogan, Tim Grogan (Angela), Cathy Weaver (Earl) and Maureen Zaccarino (Joe), grandchildren Ryan Weaver (Toni), Eric Weaver (Jessica), Katie Cooney (Adam), Vincent Zaccarino (Julie), Joseph Zaccarino (fiancé Andrea Morales), Paul Grogan, Anthony Grogan and Colleen Grant (fiancé Mike Kovacs), great grandchildren; Grace, Zachary, John Joseph, Thomas, Anna, Cecilia, Cole, Andrea and Michael and sister Rosemarie Oudine.  Also surviving are manye nieces and nephews.

Paul's Life Celebration will include visitation on Thursday October 19, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday October 20 beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's RC Church, Netcong, NJ. Family and friends are invited to meet at church prior to Mass. Paul will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
