Obituary of Russell J. Baker

Russell J. Baker of Hopatcong passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at home.

He was 73 years old.

Born in San Pablo, California to the late Burrel and the late Bess Muriel (Hovda) Baker, he has lived in Hopatcong for 30 years.

A roofing engineer, Russell enjoyed fishing, playing pool, listening to all types of music, watching sports and eating good food.

His is survived by his long-time partner, Ginger Jaick, and Ginger's children Genevieve Nikolsky and Eric Jaick. He is also survived by his brother, Greg Baker (Lori) and his niece Sara Baker.

Papa Russ loved spending time with his boys, Grant, Carter and Ryan.

The family wishes to offer sincere thanks to the Hopatcong Police Department for their assistance at a time of need.
