Obituary of Lillian May Stuart

Lillian May Stuart, 99, of Hopatcong, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 11, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New York City on February 18, 1924 to the late John and Bertha (Radice) Malcolm, Lillian resided in Rockaway Beach, NY prior to becoming a resident of Hopatcong in 2012.

Lillian's hobbies included crocheting, knitting, ceramics and collecting. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Rockaway Beach, NY and part of their Ladies' Aid Group. She was a meat wrapper for Waldbaum's in Far Rockaway, NY prior to retirement. Lillian was a member of the Hopatcong Seniors.

She was predeceased by her husband; John, daughter; Karen, sisters; Kathy and Margaret and a brother; John.

Survivors include two sons Robert Stuart (Diane) and Thomas Stuart, 9 grandchildren; Cliff, Christine, Kevin, Brian, Kristen, Melissa, Jennifer, Michelle and Amanda, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren, a sister Edna Fanelli and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Lillian's Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Wednesday November 15 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.
