Obituary of Leroy D. Steele

Leroy D. Steele of Jefferson passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville.

He was 92 years old.

Born on May 24, 1931, in Corsicana, Texas, Leroy was an engineer with ITT in Clifton prior to his retirement.

A worldly man, he enjoyed traveling, Europe and technology.

Predeceased by his wife, Janet (Hopler) Steele

He is survived by his daughter: Betty Jean Steele; 3 grandchildren: Michael, Jeanna, and William Pisani; his half-sister: Janet McCown and his former wife, Lois Steele.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Leroy's Life Celebration on Tuesday, November 28, from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing.

A Prayer Service will begin at 4:30PM.
