Obituary of Lorraine Cuniberti

Lorraine Cuniberti of Landing, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old. Lorraine was born on September 27, 1945 in Manhattan, NY to the late Timothy and the late Jennie (Panaro) Sweeney.

Lorraine was a special education aide employed by the Mt. Olive School System and a proud member of the NJEA for many years. While at the Mt. Olive School System, Lorraine was known to many students and staff as the former Mrs. Ryan. Lorraine enjoyed feeding the birds, gardening and reading, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her cherished grandchildren and her loving family. She loved 1950's and 1960's music as well as music from Josh Grobin. Lorraine was also fond of traveling especially to Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, Spain, Portugal and the Caribbean Islands.

Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband, Richard, her devoted daughters, Kelly Wallis (Scott) and Dawn Lansing (Hany) and her cherished grandchildren, Ashley Wallis and Ryan Lansing. Additional survivors include her siblings, Eugene Sweeney and Christine Natoli and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lorraine's Life Celebration will include a Visitation on Sunday, December 17th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a 2:00 pm Catholic Prayer Service offered at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
