Obituary of Carol A. Pollio

Carol A. Pollio, 80, of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday December 25, 2023 at Morris View Care Center, Morris Township.

Born in Hoboken, NJ on January 16, 1943 to the late Arnold "Bud" Wilkens and the late Helen (Amweg) Wilkens, Carol was raised in Ridgefield, NJ prior to moving to Hopatcong in 1967. Carol was a dedicated parishioner of Christ Episcopal Church in Budd Lake, NJ for many years. She actively assisted with various church operations, including the Treasury Department and volunteering as an Usher. Carol worked as a Logistics Coordinator and prior to that as a Legal Secretary.

Carol was predeceased by her husband; Joseph in 2020.

Survivors include her three children; Michael, Lisa and Scott and his wife; Natalie, six grandchildren; Taylor, Nicole, Joseph, Kaitlyn, Lauren and Madalyn and two brothers; Kenneth Wilkens and his wife; Cindy and Arnold Wilkens and his wife; Barbara.

Carol's Life Celebration will include visiting hours on Thursday December 28 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral prayer service will be offered on Friday December 29 beginning at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Family and friends may gather Friday morning beginning at 9:30 AM. Carol will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery immediately following the service.
