Obituary of Louis DiBernard

Louis DiBernard of Roxbury Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was 96 years old. Louis was born on September 2, 1927 in Netcong, NJ to the late Andrew and the late Rita (Costanza) DiBernard.

Mr. DiBernard was a produce manager with ACME Supermarket for 28 years and then RONETCO Shop Rite in Netcong for many more years before retiring. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Michael's RC Church in Netcong. Louis was an avid NY Yankee, NY Ranger and NY Giant fan. He enjoyed working in his garden and following local sports teams but most importantly, Louis also loved spending time with his cherished family.

Louis is survived by his devoted children; Louis DiBernard (Louise), Wayne DiBernard (Marybeth) and Karen Frey and his cherished grandchildren; Steven, Lauren, Jason, Christopher, Brittany, Marissa and Kayley. Additional survivors include his great-grandchildren; Melody, Gemma, Theodore, Carter and Brooklynn and his sisters, Loretta and Margie. He was pre-deceased by beloved wife, Betty in 2018, his infant son; Gary and siblings; Pauline, Geegee, Carmine, Billy, Donald and Tony.

Louis's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday, January 4th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, January 5th at 11:00 AM at St. Michael RC Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ. Louis will be laid to rest with his beloved wife at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
