Obituary of Margaret Davis-Jelly

Margaret Davis-Jelly, 66, of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville Campus.

Born on November 12th, 1957 in Pompton Plains, NJ to the late Joseph Davis and the late Agnes (Carboy) Davis. Maggie and her husband, Bill, raised their three children in Sparta, NJ over the course of 30 years and she has resided in Hopatcong for the last four years.

Maggie earned her Masters Degree/LCSW in Social Work from Rutgers University and retired from her private practice as a Psychotherapist in Sparta, NJ. Maggie was a published author and an award-winning artist specializing in abstract art.

Maggie is survived by her husband William Jelly, two sons; Evan Jelly and his wife; Lucy Frank and Alexander Jelly and his wife; Christina, daughter; Nora Jelly, four grandchildren; Sophie, Emma, Adam and Brynn, two sisters; Karen Carney and Marian VanGorder and brother; Joseph Davis.

In addition to her parents, Maggie was predeceased by her brother; Bob Davis.

Maggie's Life Celebration will include a memorial gathering on Thursday, January 11th, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
