I was lucky enough to attend Ed's Memorial Service this last Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024 and just wanted to say how impressed I was with just everything! Ed & Jan's children all shared wonderful memories of their dad and one of the grandchildren performed a dance in honor of Ed.
There was peace, comfort and laughter among those of us there and it was just so special. Many of the memories shared brought back similar memories of our own. (My husband is Eds wife's brother) and we chatted later about things that came to our minds when listening to the tributes.
Now many times while scrolling through FB I have come across a religious question "If you lost everything, would you still worship God?" To my shame I have not been able to answer that one, but on Saturday it came to mind that I have Ed's example of someone who was able to do that. Now he didn't lose everything, but he lost a lot and many of us would have questioned God and lost our faith.
In essence I left the service and with a renewed faith and wanted to let the Biron family know this and that Ed would have been so pleased by what was shared.
Thank you Lee and other ladies who manned the kitchen and served such a wonderful meal. God Bless you all, Diane & Bob Simko

It was a joy to have known Ed for the past 10 years or so and for the brief time we had Bible studies together. I pray for God's comfort for Janis and family, and praise God that Ed is home with his Lord!

Ed and I used to kid one another about who would win. That is, which of us would make it to heaven first. Well my friend, once again, you win.
I’m so grateful for many years of friendship and for the privilege of getting to work with you for a good part of those years.
You were my Spiritual Mentor and I’m so grateful to God for placing you in my life.
To God be the Glory. See you soon buddy.

Ed and my husband Michael went home to the Lord on the same evening. Ed's determination and dedication was truly and inspiration to those who knew him. We join together with many in saying "Well done, thou good and faithful servant". He will be missed and we were privileged to be a part of Janis and Ed's lives.

Ed you surely be missed. A man whose love for Jesus his Saviour was very profound as well as the love for his dear wife Janis.
Ed always greeted you with "you're the best", as well as "I love you.". Rest now my friend as you are in your savior's arms..

My heart is at rest because I know the Bible says that Jesus is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Ed was a close second to that because when we were serving at a local church, I could call him anytime for any reason and he would either support or be there for us. I was honored to help after his initial stroke and always thought of him on his exit off of Route 80, sometime sending up a prayer for him. I’m glad to know he’s at our final home, but I’ll miss him nonetheless.
