Obituary of Herminio Hernandez Jr.

Herminio "Midge" Hernandez, Jr. of Mt. Arlington, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 30, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Herminio and the late Ines (Molina) Hernandez, Herminio resided in Mt. Arlington, NJ for the past 7 years.

Herminio was the former Chief Human Resource Office of  ECMS in Iselin, NJ. He received his Bachelor's Degree of Science in Management from National Louis University and his Executive Masters Degree in Business Management from Kennesaw State University. Herminio proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid sports fan and especially fond of watching baseball and football. Herminio loved people and he never met a stranger; his greatest joy was spending time with his cherished and loving family. He said his calling was to lead his family to love Christ as he was introduced by his grandmother when he was a boy.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 32 years, Evelyn (Rodriguez), his devoted daughter, Jazmin Hernandez, his siblings; Marisa Hernandez, William Caraballo and Anthony Caraballo and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to his parents Hermino was pre-deceased by his cousins, Edwin and Lillian.

Herminio's Life Celebration will include visiting on Monday, January 29th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service and Military Honors offered at 7:30 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
