Obituary of Darren McDonald

Darren McDonald of the Landing section of Roxbury Township passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville surrounded by his loving family.  He was 57 years old.  Darren was born on September 9, 1966 in Livingston, NJ to the late David and the late Elizabeth (Weber) McDonald.

Darren was a Program Analyst at DEVCOM Armaments Center at Picatinny Arsenal. He graduated from Glassboro State College and was a longtime resident of the Landing Section of Roxbury Twp.  Darren was an avid Yankees and Miami Dolphins fan.  He loved attending his son’s swim meets and his daughter’s cheer events and games.

Darren is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Colleen McDonald and his devoted children, Tyler and Elizabeth and his faithful canine companion, Miles.  Additional survivors include, his siblings, Shannon Fallano, Jesse McDonald and Cory McDonald, several nieces, nephews, cousins and too many dear friends to mention.  He was loved by so many and will be missed greatly.

Darren’s Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Friday, February 2^nd   from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.  There will be a Prayer Service offered on Saturday, February 3^rd at 10:00 am also at the funeral home. Family and friends may begin gathering at the funeral home at 9:30 AM Saturday morning.  Darren will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt.
